The reason for the mildew of laminated glass and how to deal with it?

Moldy conditions: The surface of laminated glass is uneven, and under long-term dark conditions.

Reasons for mildew: Initially, water or moisture is adsorbed on the surface of the laminated glass, and then the water or moisture diffuses into the laminated glass, and the soluble silicate in the surface layer is hydrolyzed and destroyed. First, sodium silicate and potassium silicate are hydrolyzed and destroyed , The formation of NaOH and silica. The separated silicon dioxide generates silicone gel to form a protective film on the surface of the laminated glass, preventing further erosion. The NaOH formed by the hydrolysis reacts with the carbon dioxide in the air to generate sodium carbonate, which accumulates on the surface of the laminated glass to form the soluble salt in the surface film. Due to its strong water absorption, it deliquesces and finally forms lye droplets. When the surrounding temperature and humidity change, these lye droplets also change. If these lye droplets are in contact with the laminated glass for a long time, the part of the gel-like silica film will be dissolved, which will cause serious local erosion on the surface of the laminated glass and form spots. At this time, the sodium ions will migrate out of the laminated glass body. The air reacts to form a cluster of white alkali-rich particles, which can be observed by scanning electron microscopy.

Treatment method: Sprinkle anti-mold powder on the surface of laminated glass.
